When you book a service through Snippetz, you are not just hiring a lawn care provider. You are getting a guarantee that the work will meet a professional standard, that your provider will show up when expected, and that your property will be treated with care.
Our service guarantee exists because we believe trust is earned through accountability, not just promises. Here is exactly what it covers, how to use it, and what to expect.
What the Guarantee Covers
Quality Assurance
If the completed work does not meet the service standard described in your booking, we will make it right. This includes:
- Incomplete work: Services that were booked but not fully performed (for example, areas of the lawn that were skipped or beds that were not edged as agreed)
- Substandard execution: Work that was technically completed but falls below a reasonable professional standard
- Missed specifications: Specific instructions you included in the booking that were not followed (for example, a requested mowing height that was not observed)
Quality claims are evaluated based on the service description in the booking, any photos provided, and the provider's service history.
No-Show Protection
If your provider does not arrive within the scheduled service window and has not communicated a delay or rescheduling request, no-show protection applies. You will not be charged for the missed visit, and we will work to match you with an available provider for a rescheduled visit at no additional cost.
No-shows are taken seriously on the platform. Providers with repeated no-shows face progressive consequences, including reduced match priority and potential account suspension.
Property Damage
If your provider causes damage to your property during the course of performing the booked service, the guarantee covers the cost of repair or replacement up to reasonable limits. This includes:
- Damage to landscaping features (sprinkler heads, garden borders, decorative elements)
- Damage to structures (fences, siding, windows) caused by equipment
- Damage to hardscapes (driveways, walkways, patios) from equipment or chemicals
All providers on Snippetz carry liability coverage as a condition of platform eligibility. The guarantee works in coordination with provider insurance to ensure claims are resolved efficiently.
How to File a Claim
Filing a guarantee claim is straightforward. We have intentionally kept the process simple because we know that needing to file a claim is already frustrating.
Step 1: Report the Issue
Navigate to the completed job in your Snippetz account and select "Report an issue." Describe what went wrong and, if possible, include photos. The more detail you provide, the faster we can evaluate and resolve the claim.
Timing: Claims should be filed within 48 hours of service completion for quality issues, or within 24 hours of the scheduled time for no-shows. Property damage claims should be filed as soon as the damage is discovered.
Step 2: Review and Evaluation
Our resolution team reviews every claim within 24 hours of submission. For straightforward cases (clear no-shows, obvious incomplete work), resolution is typically faster. For cases that require more context, we may reach out to both the customer and provider to gather additional information.
We approach every claim with fairness to both parties. Providers are given the opportunity to respond to claims and provide their perspective before any determination is made.
Step 3: Resolution
Depending on the nature and outcome of the claim, resolution may include:
- Re-service: We arrange for the original provider or a new provider to redo the work at no additional charge
- Partial refund: A portion of the service cost is refunded to reflect the gap between what was expected and what was delivered
- Full refund: The complete service cost is returned for cases where the service was not performed or was significantly below standard
- Damage compensation: For property damage claims, repair costs are covered through the provider's insurance or the platform guarantee fund
What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
Transparency goes both ways, so here are the situations the guarantee does not apply to:
- Services not booked through Snippetz. The guarantee only applies to jobs booked and paid through the platform.
- Pre-existing conditions. If your lawn had existing issues before the service (disease, pest damage, drought stress), the provider is not responsible for those conditions.
- Weather-related outcomes. If weather conditions (frost, heavy rain, extreme heat) affect results after the service was performed in good faith, this is not a guarantee claim.
- Subjective preferences. The guarantee covers objective service standards, not personal preferences about aesthetic choices that were not specified in the booking.

The service guarantee is more than a policy. It reflects how we think about the relationship between customers, providers, and the platform. We are not neutral bystanders collecting a fee. We are active participants in making sure every job meets a professional standard.
For providers, the guarantee is not something to fear. It protects you too, because it sets clear expectations and prevents scope creep. When the service description is clear and you deliver what was agreed, the guarantee supports you.
