Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Snippetz, operated by Snippetz Inc. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old.

1. Marketplace Role

Snippetz is a venue that connects customers with independent service providers. We are not the provider of the services booked through the platform, we are not a party to the agreement between a customer and a provider, and we are not the employer or joint employer of any provider. Providers are independent contractors responsible for the quality, safety, licensing, and insurance of their own work.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and remain responsible for activity under your account.

3. Payments, Fees, and Refunds

Customers pay the price quoted by the provider plus a service fee. Providers pay a platform commission on completed jobs of 6% to 10% depending on provider tier (Basic 10%, Verified 8%, Preferred 6%). Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds and cancellations are handled through our dispute and cancellation process as disclosed in the app at the time of booking.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the platform, including by creating fake accounts, submitting fraudulent reviews, circumventing the payment system, harassing other users, scraping or reverse-engineering the platform, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Warranty Disclaimer

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee provider availability, service quality, uninterrupted operation, or any dispute outcome.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snippetz will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the platform will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid to Snippetz in the trailing 12 months or USD $2,500. This cap does not apply to liability for personal injury or gross negligence.

7. Arbitration and Class-Action Waiver

Except where prohibited by law, disputes between you and Snippetz will be resolved by final, binding, individual arbitration administered by the AAA under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You and Snippetz waive the right to participate in class, collective, or representative proceedings. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@snippetz.io within 30 days of first accepting these Terms; opting out does not affect the other Terms.

8. Governing Law

Georgia law governs these Terms and any dispute with Snippetz, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration provision and except where preempted or prohibited by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time. Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
