Privacy Policy
Last updated July 22, 2026
Snippetz Inc. operates a software marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, mobile apps, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Snippetz we collect your email address, name, phone number, and physical address. When you have an active job or are being matched to one, we collect your precise location so we can dispatch and route the right provider. Payment information is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your raw card numbers. We also collect device identifiers, crash data, and product-interaction analytics through Sentry and PostHog (and Segment when enabled) so we can keep the app stable and improve it. Providers who apply to offer services give us business, licensing, insurance, tax, and identity details needed for onboarding and compliance.
2. Why We Collect It
We use this information to create and run your account, match customers with providers, process payments and payouts, send transactional and security messages, prevent fraud, support you, meet legal and tax obligations, and diagnose crashes and improve the product.
3. Who We Share It With
We share information with the service providers that help us run the platform, acting as our service providers or sub-processors, not for advertising: Stripe (payments), Sentry (crash reporting), PostHog and, when enabled, Segment (product analytics), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Twilio (SMS delivery), Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In (authentication), Checkr (provider background checks), and Railway and Vercel (hosting infrastructure). We also share information with the customer or provider you are transacting with as needed to complete a job, and with regulators or courts when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not share it with advertising networks; the app contains no advertising SDK and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
4. Data Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, subject to a 30-day grace period, and retain financial and tax records for as long as the law requires.
5. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
You can access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your personal information. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete Account, or on the web at https://snippetz.io/account-deletion (no login required). For any other request, email privacy@snippetz.io. We honor these rights for all users regardless of the state they live in.
6. Background Checks for Providers
If you apply to provide services, we use a consumer reporting agency (Checkr) to run a background check with your written authorization, and we follow the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including its adverse-action notice process, before acting on any result.
7. Children
Snippetz is for adults. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
As legal thresholds attach, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise these rights, email privacy@snippetz.io or use the account-deletion link above.
